Along with filming there are risks and it is always important to confront them and find a way to overcome them. Risk analysis will help us do that.
Casting Wise:
Choosing a cast was one of the toughest tasks as the song that we chose had just one female actor who had to lip sync throughout the song and keep the audience engaged as there were no other visuals etc. Most of the people specially had gotten so used to the masks that removing the masks for a video or giving an audition was a big task for them. We had to ask around our friends and people that we personally knew to be the actor in our music video. After going through a lot of issues we finally convinced someone who we had already worked with before for a fashion campaign of the college. We had to use the smoke machine and due to the actor having asthama we would have to position it far or it could have triggered her health.
Location Risks:
Initially, we wanted to go for an empty house as our location but it was not safe due to the security issues these days and the covid wave coming back again. As we had to play around with lighting and electricity was concerned, it wasn't safe to do it in a place with no technical supervision. The biggest risk, that we had was regarding lighting messing up due to which a short circuit or something happening and destroying the college property.
Equipment Wise:
As we had to borrow a friends phone for the music video as it had the latest camera and getting a professional camera was a bit expensive for us as we had spent alot already on lighting. On the shoot day if the phone wasn't charged enough or it slipped it would cause a lot of problem as it didn't belong to both of us group members.
Weather Wise:
It was quite cold and as our model had to wear a t-shirt with half sleeves jacket and there were no heaters available in the music room she was shivering. The weather wasn't a huge problem for us as we had to shoot indoors and didn't require natural light.
