Analysis and Ideology :

In this verse number 1 of the song. Singer says “ I said I hate you when I was angry I got so mad I slammed the door " This verse contains a serious message which refers to the words people say when they are angry and don't have control over their heart and words. Slamming the door refers to the anger a person possesses and takes out on the non-living objects. “ I didn't mean to start a war " it means whatever the singer said she doesn't mean it and never wants to hurt anyone. “ There's a line, but I know I crossed it and I pray that it won't leave a scar " here singer knows that now she has crossed the line when she slammed the door and said I hate you but she didn't actually mean it. She wants no scar to be left behind but actually, this is impossible. Your words and actions always have an impact on others.

Now comes the chorus part. In this part, the singer says " I got emotional and words come out all wrong sometimes I'm more honest than I want " it means when you're emotional you don't know what you're saying to the other person, and sometimes when you're emotional you speak the truth no matter how harsh it is. " I'm more honest than I want " this means that she's not afraid of talking about anything and she's really an outspoken person. Relationships are a roller coaster ride. Full of emotions. You need to think before you talk or say anything.

In verse number two the singer means that she tries her best to make the best out of herself. The singer writes when she was young she was very stubborn but now she's trying to improve herself. " I'm all out of apologies " she means that she had done enough apologies and she can't apologize more because she thinks it won't even matter. The idea behind this is that you need to sit down with your partner and tell them about your issues and where you're coming from. Maybe talking will figure out the situation.

Now comes the bridge part. the singer is really stressed out and there's so much on her plate and she gets really aggressive and then she just says whatever is in her mind and heart even if the words are too harsh.

She wants to think before what she says so that she doesn't regret it. she has a stubborn personality along with that she speaks the trust so she can't lie. She just yells out what's in her mind.
