audition and casting

Casting was one of the important elements in our music video as it was performance based and all the eyes would be on the actress. We just required one female actress for our music video who would be performing and lip syncing the song for more than three minutes. Our main concern was deciding on someone who was confident, had a good screen presence, good expressions and also fluent with english. Both of us, asked around in our friends circle and the students in our college majorly as we wanted a young girl like the original music video had. Upon asking around there 4 girls who were willing to audition for us. I sent them the link to the song and asked for videos of them in which they would be lip syncing, through the video we could check their confidence, screen presence and lip-syncing. Zahra, Ayeza, Asna and Mahnoor each sent me videos of them lip syncing. Me and Fajar sat together and discussed them in detail as we had to cast 1 from the 4
